Do You Have Peace Today?

Have you noticed how Paul begins his letters? He always greets his recipients with a form of this phrase, "Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." Grace and peace, never peace and grace. The reason being is simple: no one can experience God's peace until he first receives God's grace. Grace is the bridge that leads to peace. Do you have peace today ... a deep and abiding peace within, regardless of your circumstances? So many Christians don’t have peace, even though it’s theirs for the taking as a blood-bought child of God. Often, we pray for things we’re not given assurance of in Scripture … like physical healing, financial prosperity, restored relationships and more. But the peace of God is assured to us in Scripture. Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful." Let me encourage you today. Confess any known sin and appropriate God's grace and peace over your life. Claim by faith that which God has already given to you. Peace is your birthright as a Christian ... so enjoy it. Now thats REAL HOPE.
