A Place of Grace
When I was in junior high school, I got sent to the principal's office for, of all things, leaning back in my chair and falling. And when I fell, I fell right at on a teacher’s feet. She freaked out and she escorted me directly to the principal, Mr. Brown. He was a tough, intimidating guy, and I was scared to death as I sat in his office just waiting for the hammer to fall. But, you know what blew me away? Mr. Brown was so nice to me! I thought his office was going to be a place of judgment, but what I found was a place of grace. The Bible tells us we can come to God and receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). And God is inviting you to meet Him today. He doesn’t want to swat you for your sins and failures. He wants to love on you and help you and fill you with His strength. And that’s REAL HOPE.
