Fox Hunting

In the Song of Solomon chapter 2, verse 15, we read these words: "Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that are ruining the vineyard while our vineyards are in blossom." In marriage, there are little foxes out there that will eat up the vineyard of your love if you don't catch them first. Now what are the "little foxes"? Selfishness is one. If selfishness is not dealt with in marriage, it will ravage the vineyard. Busyness is another little fox. If we're not careful, we can get so busy with work, and kids, and the hectic pace of life, that we quit focusing on the marriage and unconsciously neglect our spouse. And what about conflict? Unresolved conflict leads to anger, bitterness, and unhappiness. If you will rid your marital vineyard of the little foxes, your passion and excitement for one another will bloom once again. Now that’s REAL HOPE.
