Be Angry But Do Not Sin

Let’s face it: everyone gets angry from time to time. And Anger comes in two forms. There is righteous anger and unrighteous anger. Righteous anger is felt when we encounter sin, corruption and injustice. That type of anger is appropriate. The Lord has righteous anger. But, there is also unrighteous anger, that is the anger that comes when things don’t go our way, when circumstances and people offend us. To be sure, unrighteous anger is always filled with hurt. Every hurt inflicted upon your heart and mine will turn to anger. The big question is this. What do we do with the anger? Listen, if we don’t take it to God and leave it with Him, we are in for big trouble. The Bible says, “BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.” If you and I don’t rightly process our anger with the grace of God, our mad will quickly turn to bad.  Learn to forgive and to give it all to God. Then, you’ll find REAL HOPE.
