But I Don't Know What to Pray

When I was a freshman in college, I got invited to be in this discipleship group.  At the end of the weekly meetings, we would always close in prayer, and each of us praying aloud.  I was nervous as a cat when it came time for me to pray because I didn’t know what to say.  I wanted to go to the next level in prayer, but I wasn't really sure how to get there. Hey, would you like to know how to go to the next level in your prayer life?  Number one, pray from your heart. Share openly and honestly with God.  The Bible says in Psalm 62:8, “Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” And number two, pray Scripture back to God. God loves it when we do that!  See, there are lots of great, heartfelt prayers in Psalms that you can claim for your own and you can pray them back to God.  He longs to hear from you, and He longs to answer you.  Now that’s real hope.
