Sometimes I get so caught up in my own world and my own problems that I miss the faces of people all around me. I can easily fail to see their struggles with guilt, pain, loss, fear and doubt. Many people are down and discouraged and desperately need a hug, a touch, a word of encouragement to remind them that the Lord knows and cares. Remember, as Christians we are here on this earth to be a witness and a blessing to others. We are to "bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). Let me encourage you to ask the Lord to make you extra sensitive and observant to the people you encounter each day. Make it your practice to look into faces and see into their eyes. The old adage is surely true: people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. God wants to use you and me to be “Jesus with skin” to a lost and hurting world. Because that provides REAL HOPE.
