Let’s face it. Life can be tough. And sometimes it feels like trusting God in the face of difficult circumstances is impossible. But no matter where you are or what tough time you are facing right now, God wants to help you and see you through!
It’s no surprise to me that followers of Jesus are facing lots of trouble right now. The Lord has told us, “In the last days difficult times will come” (2 Timothy 3:1). But you and I can get through the tough times if we have strong faith.
I’m sure that like me, you desire to walk victoriously over the worst of circumstances. But how do we achieve that when our faith seems weak and wilted? Here’s the secret: When you pair up your problems with God’s power, nothing is impossible!
Throughout the Bible, we read stories of people who faced impossible difficulties, like Moses at the edge of the Red Sea, or Daniel in the den of hungry lions. Without question, humanly speaking those situations were impossible. But here is something very important to learn: When the impossible meets God, we need to change our thinking and say, “I’M POSSIBLE with God!”
As the Scripture says in Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
Did you catch that? God is able to do far beyond what you and I can ask or think. So think big and ask big, and see Him do even more!
Are you facing an impossible situation today? Maybe it’s in your marriage or your family or your finances or your physical health. Whatever your impossibility may be, take it and introduce it to the God who specializes in impossible situations. As Jesus said in Mark 10:27, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
So remember, instead of looking at the impossible in front of you, trust that God is good – He cares for you and has a wonderful plan in your difficult situation. Keep reading God’s Word and be obedient to what He tells you to do. And when you step out in faith, believe that He will provide exactly what you need in that moment.
It IS possible to have strong faith in tough times! So let your “impossible” meet God ... and watch what He will do in response.
