What do you do when someone hurts your emotionally? Do you deal with the hurt, or do you stuff it and suppress it? All unresolved hurt turns to anger. And we live in a very angry world today with lots of wounded, angry people. God tells us, “Do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.” Unresolved hurt and anger is like a welcome matt to the devil. He will wreak havoc in your life if you try to stuff the hurts, swallow the pain and pretend nothing is wrong. So what’s the solution? Bring all your hurts and all your anger to the Lord. Pour out your heart to Him. Ask Him for the grace to forgive those who have offended you. Focus on the cross and see how much He has forgiven you. Hey, if you will deal with emotional wounds God’s way, you will see the Lord do a deep work of healing and restoration in your heart. Now that’s real hope.
